Acupuncture Coverage by Insuance Companies

Most insurance companies (some shown on left) today have policies that cover acupunture and its related services, and I accept them!  If you're unsure about the coverage of acupuncture by your provider, you can find out by either calling your insurane company's patient information - found on your insurance card - or me.  If your insurance covers acupuncture, you can ask:

  1. How many treatments can I get?
  2. What is the co-pay for acupuncture?
  3. Do I need a referral to see an acupuncturist?
  4. What is my deductible?
  5. What conditions are covered for acupuncture?

Medicaid and Medicare Coverage

Medicaid and Medicare currently do not cover acupuncture.

No-fault (Car Accident)

Workers Compensation

Personal injury from work related accidents, covered by workers compensation insurance, with prior-authorization, fully covers acupuncture treatments.
